Rosemont Ensemble Offerings

 Wind Ensemble

Band is a performance-centered concert ensemble offered to students playing woodwind, brass, or percussion.  Students will prepare and perform contemporary and traditional wind music with the objectives of expanding musicianship and technical facility, developing ensemble skills, and better understanding music literacy. 

Band is offered in two sections: Wind Ensemble and Concert Band.  Both will perform in concerts on campus and Wind Ensemble will also perform at concert festivals throughout the state.  Entrance to Wind Ensemble is based on audition or teacher recommendation.

 String Orchestra 

String Orchestra is a performance-centered concert ensemble offered to students playing violin, viola, cello, or string bass. Students will prepare and perform contemporary and traditional string orchestra music with the objectives of expanding musicianship and technical facility, developing ensemble skills, and better understanding music literacy.

String Orchestra will perform in concerts on campus and at concert festivals throughout the state.

 Marching Band, Colorguard/Winterguard, Drumline/Winter Percussion 

In the fall, Marching Band will perform at school events such as football games and rallies and will compete at Marching Band competitions throughout Northern California.  Colorguard (flag, rifle, and saber) and Drumline is included as part of the Marching Band. 

Objectives are as follows:

1) Demonstrate the importance of preparation and teamwork

2) Expand musicianship through the development of individual and ensemble skills

3) Be a central component of Rosemont school pride

Winter Percussion

In the winter, students may audition for our competitive Winter Percussion unit which competes at various Northern California Band Association Indoor Percussion competitions. 

Objectives are as follows:

1) Demonstrate the importance of preparation and teamwork

2) Expand musicianship through the development of individual and ensemble skills

3) Be a central component of Rosemont school pride

Winter Colorguard

In the winter, students may audition for the competitive Winter Guard unit which competes at various Northern California Band Association Indoor Colorguard competitions. 

Objectives are as follows:

1) Demonstrate the importance of preparation and teamwork

2) Expand musicianship through the development of individual and ensemble skills

3) Be a central component of Rosemont school pride
